In 2007, his fifth film, Desamuduru, directed by Puri Jagannadh, proved to be a box office hit and the first hit of the year in Tollywood. The movie grossed 6.58 crores in the first week of its release. This box-office take remains the highest so far in his career. In the same year, he also made a guest appearance in his uncle Chiranjeevi's film, Shankar Dada Zindabad. In May 2008, his sixth film Parugu, directed by Bhaskar, was released.Allu Arjun's movies have been translated and dubbed into Malayalam. Desamudrudu was renamed Hero and Parugu was renamed Krishna and Gangotri was renamed Simhakutty(lioncub). This made him accessible to audiences in the state of Kerala, where he has been well-received.For 2009, Arjun had only one release, Arya 2, which is a sequel to the 2004 hit film Arya, which also starred Arjun in the lead role. The film was directed by Sukumar who directed the first film. Kajal Agarwal, Navdeep, and Shradda Das co-star with Arjun in Arya 2.ARYA 2 is being released in malayalam under the same name arya 2.
